Thank you all for the warm and wonderful birthday greetings! I know we’d all love to turn back the clock but I’ve decided to totally embrace this aging thing. Kick it to the curb. Embrace all the riches that living this long has given me. I think all women should, even though culture isn’t on our side. I’m more grateful, I’m more wise, I’m much healthier (oh my… the way I treated this bod in my 20s!) … I’m stronger physically, emotionally, and life’s curve balls can’t derail me anymore. The testament of a life well lived is … well, to keep on living it well. To keep creating, learning, caring, loving, laughing, and getting a little more fabulous every day. A number doesn’t define me … it doesn’t define you. You do. I’m a Diamond Baby! 💎

kudos to you for embracing the aging thing! no shame in it, eh? me who is 63 now, but opposite of your looks in a way? nobody’s perfect. I may do look young by 10 years at least, and always have, but facial hair hides it now, and do still have hair on my head yet. well, may you still look young 10 years down the road! rock and roll will always keep musicians young at heart, so rock on and retire when you want to, okay?
Sorry been busy myself and had no idea! Happy belated birthday! You still rock! Since not buying cds for sometime I just had to update Spotify with your music. Thank so much for the hits and being a proud Canadian!
Austin: you really need to upgrade your CD collection one day. however, am very respectful of your choice. Lee Aaron is such an awesome Canadian talent, huh? I’ve been her fan from before the first album came out, and am so proud she is still making music. her status is legendary now, and getting better with each passing year. I look forward to her new album, as I know it’s gonna be awesome too!
Happy belated birthday. You look amazing. I know you are getting older but it doesn’t look like it with this stunning picture of yourself. God has given you special graces; physically and spiritually. You are exceptionally talented. Your music and performances prove it. Thank you; your music means a lot.
John: there once was a music critic in Winnipeg who said Lee was aging. this was in 1992 sometime. I told her about it, as she was in Winnipeg that night for a concert. imagine her reaction? these days, with how Lee looks, the word “aging” is never going to come to fruition, as she is gorgeous as ever, eh? Lee has lived a clean life style free of drugs and such. okay, maybe she drinks like Canadians do, but her beauty is something else at age 60 now, and all musicians need to take care of themselves as they do get older, right? god bless you, Lee Aaron, for staying in the positive realm than let yourself go. what more can be said?
John: it was in 1993 to do with the Winnipeg music critic claiming Lee was aging. my mistake! Lee was almost 31 then, and stunning to look at, and still is to this day. Grace Slick, some time ago, took it upon herself to claim all rock and rollers over the age of 50 look stupid and should retire. really?! at least Lee Aaron can be proud of living a clean lifestyle, eh? Grace Slick comes from an era of drug users who allowed themselves to either die early, or suffer from other things later in life.
LEE HAS A GREAT HEART. OUTSIDE APPEANCES ARE A BONUS.
I know!!! she is a sweet lady who loves meeting and greeting her fan base wherever she goes.
John: will go further on this, okay? Lee was coaxed into thinking her looks mean more than anything else. when Lee was told her voice, not her looks, would make her a star, then she understood more. Lee has the total package, eh? her voice is better than it has been, but thank goodness she remains looking gorgeous too. what more can be said? so I agree with you.
Larry, I have never talked with her in person but love at first sight if you know what I mean. Never had the courage to confront her, just too shy back then. Behind-the-scene politics prevented her from being a megastar. It’s complicated but bigwigs could not take a risk with her. They had an “agenda” and knew they would not be able to “control” her in the end even with her contractual agreements in place. As we see now, many years later, she’s the boss.
John: too bad you never get an opportunity to meet Lee in person. she is warm and friendly to meet. I agree with you on all you said, because earlier in her career, things were indeed controlled. I have been her fan since her 1982 debut album. read about Lee over time, and it set me up for the album, in which blew me away hearing that voice! but I know what you mean, as it seems as if Lee was pretty much controlled during her Attic Record days. long story short: end result is that she knew how she wanted to be. Attic wanted her to change, but she bolted from Toronto in no time flat. of late, to know she’s in control, and good on her I say. Lee: if you happen to be reading this, you have proven them wrong, and so proud of you these days to do what you did years ago. rock on!!! John: hope you get to meet her one day, as she is worthy of it, okay? take care!
Well said Larry, but it does goes beyond Attic
yeah, you could be right. females in the music biz have always had it harder to be accepted. many will be treated okay, but others? it is what it is, unfortunately, but Lee can proudly say she survived it all. imagine had she quit the music biz? backlash, huh? all that got avoided, because of her determination to go forward. where is she now? not a big star, yeah, but loving what she does best. at least she’s in control, eh? I always knew she was a special talent to support!!! just too bad about the stuff she had to put up with. enough said. next album is gonna be interesting, because of what she said in a recent online article, but no doubt she is poised to do extremely well.
Definitely, Lee can proud say she survived it all!! She’s a tough girl no doubt. So happy for her. P.S. I don’t expect you to understand “the beyond Attic” comment.
hey there, John, nice to hear from you again! yeah, no kidding Lee is tough. when it comes to being in the music biz, the females have it rough to be accepted. her attitude is understood! you have to be able to take it, but she knows how to dish it back too. I sure as hell do understand it all, okay? I have been her fan all this time, and through thick and thin, so nothing can surprise me much. imagine when her book does come out? she will tell all about her early days with Attic and being held back. the industry, back in that era of time, certainly was cutthroat, huh? this explains why many acts have gone the indie route: to escape the corporate bullshit. Metalville Records does not believe in ripping acts off, as they give at least 100% of the profits to the acts on their roster, and rightfully so! too bad she cannot find a decent Canadian label, but none of it matters. know how it is? enough said.
Can’t wait to hear new stuff from Lee.
me too! be it before 2022 ends, or early next year. she’s in control, but she is fussy too. a perfectionist you think? you bet! Lee knows how she needs to sound. can’t blame her for that! do you know of a possible new live album? that will be determined, no doubt, and if true, that is gonna be something!
